Exploding Stovetop | Electric Range Stove Not Working
My stove was a little angry at me and was shooting fireworks and arching. In this video I show how to replace a terminal recetacle block which often is the source of electric stovetop heating issues. No heat or improper heating of an electric stove burner can be caused by a variety of sources. I also show how to troubleshoot in case it is not from the terminal block.

Stop Paying For Fence Stain | Make Your Own!
Переглядів 4,3 тис.4 місяці тому
This is an ol' farmer's trick, using used engine oil to treat lumber and stain fences. Our version of homemade fence stain is diluted with solvents like paint thinner and diesel so the stain will flow better through a spayer. Do NOT use gasoline! We did a couple side-by-side comparisons using Ready Seal Exterior Wood Stain (pecan color). Let me know in the comments if y'all would use homemade f...

In my little city this is considered an "open burn" and is a class C misdemeanor. If you put a grate over it it becomes a fire pit or grill. I can guarantee that one of your busybody snoops for a neighbor called this in.

A small fruit tree was removed [about 10 feet from my home] they left a small stump and now I have a colony of carpenter ants. I'm guessing that the ants were attracted to the sweetness of the stump. How can I get rid of the ants?

I use only used motor oil on outdoor wood projects. I don't dilute it and just wipe it on with a brush. Usually needs re-treatment every 2 years. It's free and makes the wood last for a very long time - treated or not.

Works for a yard that is mostly cleared, but if you have a wooded lot or a lot that has a lot of stumps and forest nearby you could start a root fire, and they can travel miles over months and resurface.

It's crucial to understand the intricate world beneath our feet. Tree roots weave a vast web underground, and burning a dead stump might unwittingly ignite this hidden network. I've witnessed fire spread beneath the surface, reminiscent of flowing water. Be mindful that this fiery journey could unexpectedly emerge in your neighbor's yard. Vigilance is key; while fire may seem benign, it can swiftly turn foe.

I've been staining my fence with used oil. I even did my deck last year. You're right tho, the color does fade slightly but it still repelled water. I used a roller on my fence so i could just dip it in the oil bucket and go. A sprayer did not work as well for me

Having a fire in your backyard that burns for days isn’t very considerate to neighbors. Plus, days of work, smoke, risk of fire spreading and irritated neighbors could have been avoided with a 1hr rental of stump grinder.

Cutting the slots down top to bottom was a good idea. I made some I guess what might be called redneck tiki torches from metal pipes about four inches diameter and old scrap parts like brake rotors and gear from a local recycling yard. I mixed old cooking oil with about 10 to 15 percent gas. Don't want any more gas than that. or it can make for an interesting video watching an old man not forgetting how to jump back. Where are those folks that record everything with their cell phones when I do stupid stuff? lol. Those roots are the hardest part to get rid of. Having a lot of brush and stick and branches helped. Just watched another video of someone using a barrel and cut a hole in the bottom to blow air in with a leaf blower. Worked pretty good.
